Project Details:

Research, develop and host a website for the State of Nevada Cannabis Compliance department using WordPress Content Management Software (CMS).
Device Friendly: The website is mobile responsive and device agnostic, to work on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Browser and Platform Compatibility: Fully responsive and compatible will major devices and browsers, such as iOS, Android, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.
Accessibility and ADA Compliance: Ensures assistive technologies can understand the content, and include image text description for the visually impaired and captions or transcripts for video for the hearing impaired.
The website includes plugins that allow easy updating of content via drag and drop page editors available in the content management system.

Nevada Census

The Nevada Census Committee works to ensure that Nevadans get federal resources

and Congressional representation by encouraging the full participation of all Nevadans in Census 2020. This website is developed using WordPress version 5.2 content management system hosted at WPEngine.com. This site is built using "divi" theme.

Project Details:

Develop a website for the state of Nevada census department, prioritizing three components. intuitive and responsive interface design that works across all major devices,
Back-end security, and ease-of-use for staff administrators to make updates within the site content management system.
Employ an agile project management approach to complete project phases as efficiently as possible, while identifying a comprehensive list of milestones and deliverables at the start of the engagement.
Integrate Google Translate to provide users with a language translation of the site in Mandarin, Spanish, and Tagalog.
Install Google Analytics to view web analytics and track website traffic.
Ensure the website is fully responsive and compatible will major devices and browsers, such as iOS, Android, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.
Ensure the website is mobile responsive and device agnostic, to work on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Ensure the site is ADA Compliant, so that assistive technologies can understand the content for the visually or hearing impaired.
Conduct post launch quality assurance testing to detect bugs and correct any errors.

Nevada 2-1-1

Nevada 2-1-1 is a division of the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and Money Management International. The organization provides information and referrals for essential human services to Nevada residents, such as food banks, homeless shelters, and health care. Design rebuilt and relaunched the site in 2015, addressing a number of front and back-end usability issues and glitches which prevented staff and end-users from effectively interacting with the site.

Project Details

Replace the organization’s legacy platform, which was buggy and difficult to use. We rebuilt the website with an open source content management system and the iCarol referral and helpline database.
Transition the server to a WordPress optimized hosting environment that provides security against malware/hack intrusions, 24/7 technical support, and daily backups
Create visually appealing, mobile-friendly site design with a focus on ease-of-use and intuitive, icon-based navigation.
Address a number of issues in the legacy website to reduce website bounce rate by more than 30% and increase daily traffic by 14X.
Integrate a new resource database that is compliant with the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) taxonomy. Taxonomy is a standardized set of terms and phrases that are used to index and retrieve information in a systematic way;
Create the ability for staff to track user behavior and site analytics, such as service category click-throughs, devices used, time spent on site, user geography and IP address;
Design interactive methods for data collection, such as agency service update, user demographic information and website satisfaction.
Create training materials and videos so that staff can perform basic ongoing maintenance.
Install a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) https:// across the entire website to encrypt user information and provide an extra layer of validation to website visitors.
Transition the website to an optimized hosting environment to deliver robust security, daily backups, regular software updates and prevention of malware/hack intrusions.
